In September 2022, at age 6, Ollie was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. A cancerous tumour located in the base of his skull extending in to the mastication space which has caused permanent hearing loss on one side. The tumour has also caused possible long term damage to his eye, tongue, carotid artery and nerves.
Ollie uses art to pass time hospital, it has been a good mental break from reality and helps keep his fine motor skills strong during treatment.
One of Ollie's wishes was to have his artwork printed onto scrub tops and caps. When we saw his bright and skillfull artworks, we knew we had to make that wish come true.
